Library Cadets/WMES Crew
Fifth grade students may apply to become members of the library cadets and WMES crew. These students assist Mrs. Poole in the library with shelving books and delivering books to teachers. They also serve as the anchors and camera operators for our school news show.

South Carolina Children's Book Award
Sponsored by the SC Association of School Librarians, the SC Children's Book Award Program allows each student to take part in the democratic process and read
many wonderful books! Children in grades 4-5 are invited to read at least
5 nominated titles from the Children's Book Category to be eligible to vote
in March.
South Carolina Picture Book Award
Sponsored by the SC Association of School Librarians, the SC Picture Book Awards Program
allows each student to take part in the democratic process and read many wonderful books! Children in grades K-3 are invited to read at least 7 nominated titles from the Picture Book Category to be eligible to vote in March.
